The MCP4C10 is engineered for short-reach intra-rack interconnect at the highest current OSFP electrical signaling rates. As a passive copper assembly, it consumes effectively zero port power and adds no transceiver-level latency, since there is no electrical-to-optical conversion. The RHS-RHS finned heatsink orientation is required when both end ports use Right Hand Side keying; mismatched orientation will not seat correctly. At 1m, copper insertion loss remains within OSFP electrical budget without active retimers.
