About us

T.E.S IT-SOLUTIONS is a manufacturer by requirement. We build high-speed network equipment from hardware the industry has written off: about 95% of our raw material, by our estimate more, is end-of-life electronics. We turn it into tested switches, adapter cards and cables, each built to a customer’s work order, for customers on every continent.

Where it starts: a foundry

Our founder, Itzhak Finkelstein, is an industrial engineer and a graduate of the Technion. He started his career on a factory floor. His family’s company, Finkelstein Metals, was established in 1936 and is now in its fourth generation.

The foundry produces continuous-cast and extruded copper alloys: brass, bronze and aluminum bronze. It makes them from recycled metal. Itzhak worked there from 2000 to 2005, across production planning, R&D, sales and marketing.

That is where the idea behind T.E.S comes from. Scrap is not waste. It is raw material waiting for the right process.

From metal to electronics

After the foundry, Itzhak moved from recycling metal to recycling electronics. From 2008 he was VP of Marketing at E-Green, which gave suppliers an international channel to sell new and used electronic equipment and kept it out of the waste stream. In 2011 E-Green became T.E.S, Total Electronics Solutions. In 2012 T.E.S was established as a limited company.

T.E.S Group buys unused and discarded electronic equipment from mid-size and large companies. It is based in Haifa, Israel.

Buying that equipment showed us what was inside it. Data-center hardware is often retired on a refresh schedule, while its boards, optics and chassis still have years of service left. T.E.S IT-SOLUTIONS is the division that rebuilds it.

What we make

We manufacture three product lines, at every common speed from 10Gb/s upward: 10, 25, 40, 56, 100, 200 and 400Gb/s, and 800Gb/s for cables. Every unit is built to the specification in the customer’s work order.

Our products are compatible with, and remanufactured from, equipment originally made by leading makers, including NVIDIA, Cisco and Juniper. T.E.S is an independent manufacturer. It is not affiliated with or authorized by those companies. The small share of material we cannot recover, such as new components and consumables, we buy from suppliers.

ProductSpeedsWhat we buildRecovered inputs
Switches10–400Gb/sEthernet and InfiniBand switches, configured per order: airflow direction, power supplies, fans, firmware and operating system.Chassis from scrapped switches, metal-worked, finished and repainted. Refurbished power supplies and fans. Recovered motherboards, CPUs and memory.
Adapter cards10–400Gb/sNetwork adapter cards, repaired, rebuilt and tested.Cards pulled from end-of-life equipment. Working components harvested from cards that are beyond repair.
Cables10–800Gb/sCopper and fiber, active and passive, Ethernet and InfiniBand.Cable and connectors (SFP, QSFP, QSFP56, QSFP112) recovered from cable sent for recycling.

Manufacturing by requirement

We do not sell from a catalogue of what happens to be on the shelf. A customer sends a requirement: a switch with reverse airflow, a card with a specific firmware, a cable at an exact length and speed, or a spare that the original maker no longer supplies. We work out how to build it, source the recovered parts, build it and test it.

That makes us a problem solver as much as a manufacturer. Buyers come to us with end-of-life items nobody else will support, with incompatible firmware, or with a configuration that was never offered new. We find the answer in our data and on the bench.

Each order follows the same discipline: a bill of materials, a station-by-station build, and a final test before shipment. Equipment arrives as raw material, then is catalogued, inspected and split by part type. A card that cannot be repaired is not recycled: its working components become raw material for other cards. The recovered parts meet again at assembly.

The line from intake to test: a pallet of incoming equipment, shelving and a label printer for cataloguing, an assembly bench with an adapter card and heatsink, and a test bench with a switch connected to a monitor showing a pass.

Low-tech hands, high-tech knowledge

The bench work is deliberately low-tech: inspection, soldering, metalwork, paint and assembly. The knowledge behind it is not.

Years of part numbers, firmware versions, airflow variants and repair records sit in our database. Our team works with AI tools and large language models on top of that data. With them we can work out how to rebuild almost any end-of-life item: the correct airflow, the compatible firmware, the right operating system.

That combination is our edge: hands-on manufacturing, guided by data and AI.

Why it matters

The world generated a record 62 million tonnes of e-waste in 2022. Only 22.3% was documented as properly collected and recycled, according to the UNITAR Global E-waste Monitor 2024.

Recycling recovers metal. Remanufacturing keeps the engineering: a switch stays a switch, and a working component goes back to work.

For customers, the result is enterprise-grade networking, built to their specification, at a fraction of the cost of new equipment, from a supplier that can still build what the original maker has stopped making. More on remanufacturing.

Who we work with

We ship worldwide. Our customers range from dealers and system integrators to end-user companies, universities, research labs and data centers. What they share is a technical requirement and a need for a supplier who can meet it with tested hardware and a clear answer.

T.E.S IT-SOLUTIONS manufactures high-speed network switches, adapter cards and cables to customer requirement, from recovered end-of-life electronics, for customers worldwide.
Company description
T.E.S IT-SOLUTIONS is the networking division of T.E.S Group, founded by industrial engineer Itzhak Finkelstein. Its roots are in a four-generation family foundry that turns recycled metal into high-grade alloys. T.E.S applies the same principle to electronics. About 95% of its raw material is end-of-life equipment. From it, the company remanufactures Ethernet and InfiniBand switches and adapter cards from 10Gb/s to 400Gb/s, and cables up to 800Gb/s, each built to the customer’s work order. Hands-on bench work is guided by a deep technical database and AI tools. Customers in the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia include dealers, integrators, end-user companies, universities, labs and data centers.
