The cable terminates in fixed SFP28 connectors. This is a passive cable; it is NOT an active copper cable or an AOC and contains no signal-conditioning electronics. This is a refurbished unit.
Engineering Context
The MCP2M00-A001 provides cost-efficient short-reach 25GbE connectivity. Passive copper consumes essentially zero port power because there are no transceiver driver electronics. Latency is limited to copper propagation, with no electrical-to-optical conversion overhead. Cables are SFF-8472 compliant for I2C management and EEPROM readout. BER targets follow IEEE 802.3by for 25GbE links.

Top-of-Rack switch to server uplinks inside a single rack. ConnectX-4 Lx, ConnectX-5, or ConnectX-6 Dx EN adapter to Spectrum SN2000-series switch within 1 meter. HCI node-to-node interconnects. Storage server uplinks where passive copper is preferred over AOC for cost and power.
