The MCA4J80-N026 uses port-powered active copper redriver electronics on each OSFP head to maintain clean NDR-rate eyes across 2.6 meters where passive copper has very limited reach. The NDR 800G signaling uses 8x 100G PAM4 lanes per OSFP head. The 2.6-meter length sits between intra-rack passive DACs (typically under 1.5m) and longer 4m–5m active cables, making it a common choice for adjacent rack interconnects.
